Wide Area Fast Bible Map Facts is the first tool I have developed for your use and individual site deployment.
In order to use this tool on your site, you will need to download two files. On the following links, I recommend you right-click and select "save target as" from the pop-up menu.
It is extremely important that you download these two files to their own folder on your hard drive! The reason is that one of the files is named "index.html." I would not want you to overwrite some other index.html file you have on your hard drive. I cannot be responsible for a loss of data if you were to accidentally overwrite your own index.html file.
Here are the files' links: index.html and SetVars.js (remember to right click to download!)
First, upload the index.html file exactly as it is to your web space. I do strongly urge you to create this in a subdirectory on your web server away from your main files. This way, when someone links to your Wide Area Fast Bible Map Facts page it will look something like mywebsite.com/wabiblemaps/
See, if you just use the index.html naming convention, you do not have to spell out the file name. This makes for a shorter link, which is always better.
Next, you will need to use notepad or wordpad to open up the SetVars.js file. This file exists for the sole purpose of setting your website name on the Wide Area Fast Bible Map Facts page. In it, you will set your font face, font color, font size, and of course, your web site name. It looks like this:
Next, you will upload the SetVars.js file to your web space in the same directory you put the Wide Area Fast Bible Maps Facts index.html page in.
Your maps tool is now ready for you and your visitors to use and enjoy. Don't forget to link to it! The tool is designed to be opened in a new window. It needs all the screen real estate it can get! This actually relieves you of some coding and layout problems you would have otherwise. So, I recommened you always use the ' target="_blank" ' option in your coded links to this tool.
Source files may not be altered or copied to your web space without express written consent of Alex Peterson. You are given permission to copy the index.html and SetVars.js files. The rest shall remain hosted on holycall.com servers.
