application. This letter, however, will remain a part of your permanent record here in my files."
Since I was a member of the church under which the college operated (a requirement for all
students), Bob Gray was the pastor whose approval I needed. My dad and I went forward in the service that
night and made things right with him.
Miss X was sent home and finished up the requirements for her associate degree at home. She
received her diploma the following May.
I re-enrolled at TBC in the spring semester to continue my rocky career there. But my reputation
was forever blemished by that incident. And my relationship with staff was never to be the same. The letter,
I suppose, is still a part of my "permanent record" - whatever that is.
